
This MSc degree, accredited by the Council on Higher Education through The Da Vinci Institute, can be obtained over a minimum period of 2 years. Certificates and Diplomas in the domain of
Consulting Management
Profweb, and The Da Vinci Institute for Technology Management will also offer short programmes at Certificate and Diploma levels in the domain of Consulting Management. On successful completion of the short programmes, credits obtained can lead towards a full Certificate or Diploma qualification.
Note: NQF = National Qualification Framework
The Diploma in the domain of Consulting Management (NQF 6) is aimed at consulting practitioners who need to develop additional thinking and business skills while developing an in depth understanding of the consulting environment. The diploma can be obtained over a period of 24 months.
The Certificate in the domain of Consulting Management (NQF 5) is aimed at internal and external consultants who have recently entered the field of consulting and who wish to:
- Gain consulting knowledge on a fast track basis
Start their accreditation process as a Certified Management Consultant with the IMCSA.
The certificate can be obtained over a period of 12 months

Recognition of Prior Learning
The structure of the qualification makes the Recognition of Prior Learning possible. The qualification may therefore be achieved in part through the recognition of prior learning, which includes formal and informal learning and work experience. The student is thoroughly briefed on the process to be used and support and guidance is provided. Care is taken to ensure that the process provides the student with an opportunity to demonstrate competence.
If the student is able to demonstrate competence in the knowledge, skills and behaviours implicit in the qualification, the appropriate credits will be assigned to the student. Recognition of Prior Learning will be done by means of an Integrated Assessment.
This Recognition of Prior Learning may allow:
- Accelerated access to further learning at this or higher levels on the NQF
- Gaining of credits towards learning outcomes
- Obtaining of the Qualification in part (maximum 50%).
Admission Criteria
MSc: A 4 year Bachelor Degree/Honours or equivalent NQF 7 qualification with 5 years applicable work experience. Certified Management Consultants (CMC’s) will be granted entry to the programme, based on an interview.
Diploma – The Da Vinci Certificate in Consulting Management or other relevant NQF 5 certificate with 3 years applicable work experience. IMCSA members will be granted entry, based on an interview.
Certificate - Matric or other NQF 4 qualification with 2 years applicable work experience
