IMCSA

Overview

The purpose of the Accredited Consulting Training Practice (ACTP) program is to provide Institutes with a globally recognized accreditation that will allow prospective clients seeking training in areas of the Certified Management Consultant (CMC) competency framework to have a level of assurance in those offering and delivering such materials.

The standards for the ACTP are established by the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI) and implemented by each Institute participating in the program. The ICMCI will ensure Institute compliance with these standards as part of the triennial Institute assessment; thus only full members of the ICMCI will be eligible to participate in the ACTP program.

Organizations who are successful in being recognized as an ACTP will be added to a global register of ACTP’s maintained by the ICMCI and will be entitled to use the designation “ACTP” in their promotional materials including the use of an ICMCI approved ACTP logo. ACTP’s may wish to develop unique partnering arrangements with approved clients to mutually develop education and training programs that promote the CMC competency framework as well as the CMC designation.

Standards for the
Accredited Consulting Training Practice

The Standard for the Accredited Consulting Training Practice is set out in the below mentioned  documents, and will be made available to you when you submit your application request. These two documents outline details of the Accredited Consulting Training Practice and provide the basic standards against which approval will be measured:

  1. The “Accredited Training Provider Scheme” provides background to the program and the requirements that organizations wishing to become an Accredited Consulting Training Practice must satisfy.
  2. The “Equivalency Checklist” for the Accredited Consulting Training Practice,  designed for assessing Practice’s compliance with the Accredited Consulting Training Practice scheme requirements.
  3. The signing of the Professional Code of Ethics as a practice.

It is anticipated that the above standards will be developed and updated, on an ongoing basis, and will be based on the experience of early implementation by Institutes.
